Orlando Ballet School places students aged 3 to 6 based on age, while students aged 7 and older are auditioned and placed based on knowledge, ability, and potential. All students receive bi-annual progress reports and are advanced only when the teaching team determines that more advanced work will benefit the student.
Any student new to Orlando Ballet School aged 7 or older must take a placement class to receive a level recommendation for registration in the Preparatory Training Center or for acceptance into the Academy Program.
Students auditioning for the Academy Program will also be evaluated for the Preparatory Training Center during their audition.
Additionally, students may submit a video audition for placement and program consideration.
