Harriett Lake is one of Orlando Ballet’s biggest champions and one of Central Florida’s most famous philanthropists. Often referred to as “The Angel of the Ballet,” her most recent gift is a $2 million donation to go towards Orlando Ballet’s plans to build a new home for the Company, its main school and administration at the Loch Haven Neighborhood Center in Loch Haven Park. On February 25, Orlando Ballet presented a very special show and gala, A Tribute to Harriett: The Best of Broadway at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to raise funds to support Central Florida’s only professional ballet company and its new Scholarship Fund, benefitting children and young people.
