Community Enrichment Warehouse Team Member

Title: Community Enrichment Warehouse Team Member

Reports to: Community Enrichment Field Coordinator

Location: Beardall Senior Center, 800 Delaney Ave #3897, Orlando, FL 32801

Time Commitment:

Tuesday July 12, 2022 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Wednesday July 13, 2022 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Thursday July 14, 2022 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Tuesday July 19, 2022 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Friday July 22, 2022 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Purpose: The volunteers for Community Enrichment will help to sort and gather our donated dancewear to help organize our storage space. This dancewear is provided for our S.T.E.P.S, R.E.A.C.H., and R.I.S.E. students to allow them to understand and embody dance and ballet within our enrichment programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet at Beardall Senior Center at times mentioned above
  • Lift up to 50 lbs worth of dancewear with reasonable accommodations
  • Arrange inventory by size and style
  • Remove unnecessary dancewear into other categories including donate, sell, and trash.
  • Organize dancewear boxes and items into storage room.

Training:

Training will take place 30 minutes prior to the volunteer start time taking place at either

Beardall Senior Center. This will be coordinated with the Community Enrichment Coordinators.

Community Enrichment Neon Club Volunteer

Title: Community Enrichment Neon Club Volunteer

Reports to: Community Enrichment Coordinator

Location:600 North Lake Formosa Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

Time Commitment: First Friday of every month 5:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.

Purpose: The volunteers for Community Enrichment Neon Club will help to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for our Neon Club participants to enjoy their night of dance.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up decorations and tables and chairs for event.
  • Monitoring Admissions in the lobby. $1.00 per guest and providing a receipt for the cash admission.
  • Providing and equipping guests with wrist bands
  • Dancing and encouraging guests to dance
  • Cleaning up area and collecting decorations
  • Putting away tables and chairs
  • Distributing upcoming theme schedule
  • Distributing and collecting caregiver surveys

Training:

Training will take place prior to the start of the volunteer’s first Neon Club from 500 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. This will be coordinated with the Community Enrichment Coordinators.

Trade Parent/Work Study/Volunteer

Title: Trade Parents/Work Study/Volunteer

Reports to: Orlando Ballet School Administrative Manager

Location:600 North Lake Formosa Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

Time Commitment: Throughout the Orlando Ballet School Year

Purpose: Orlando Ballet School welcomes interested parents and students as trade parents, work-study, or volunteers to help provide a warm and welcoming presence to OBS students, families, and visitors at the front desk.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome, direct, and engage visitors
  • Distribute general information
  • Answer the phone
  • Take in mail/packages
  • Sign in dancers for Fitness Thru Dance classes

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old by September 1, 2022
  • Must complete a background check
  • Must provide a resume

Work Study/Volunteer Students

Title: Work Study/Volunteer Students

Reports to: Orlando Ballet School Administrative Manager

Location:600 North Lake Formosa Drive, Orlando, FL 32803

Time Commitment:

Summer 2022 – June 6 to July 30, 2022

22/23 Season – August 15, 2022, to May 14, 2023

Purpose: Help provide a warm and welcoming presence to Orlando Ballet School Students.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and direct students
  • Help with drop-off and pick-up
  • Assist in the classroom with levels Pre-Primary 2.5-Primary B

Must be 14 years old by September 1, 2022

Community Enrichment RISE Symposium Event Volunteer

Title: Community Enrichment RISE Symposium Event Volunteer

Reports to: Community Enrichment Coordinator

Location: 600 North Lake Formosa Drive, Orlando FL 32803

Time Commitment:

Saturday April 1, 2023

3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Purpose: The volunteers for Community Enrichment will help to support our RISE students and guests enjoy a fluid workshop and showcase.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up decorations and tables in the lobby and studios for guests and dancers
  • Serve as backstage assistants for RISE Symposium performance and work with Backstage manager to ensure performers are dressed and in their places
  • Handling monies and concessions for guests before the show and during intermission
  • Cleaning up area and collecting decorations
  • Putting away tables and chairs
  • Cleaning backstage area
  • Greeting guests and handing out programs
  • Monitoring doors for permitted team members and performers
  • Distributing waters and snacks to guest artists and RISE performers

Training:

Training will take place the day prior on Friday March 31, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in person at Orlando Ballet.
