Cheryl Collins | Executive Director
Cheryl Collins joined Orlando Ballet in 2016 as Director of Development, and since that time has led efforts to double annual Contributed Income from $1.4 million to over $3 million. Cheryl’s strategic focus has been cultivating the breadth Orlando Ballet’s individual, corporate, and foundation relationships, securing major gifts and key partnerships with Orlando Health, PNC Bank, Orlando Magic, Disney, Sonny’s BBQ, Dr. Phillips Charities and Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, among many others. Her success led to her being honored in 2021 as the Outstanding Professional Fundraiser in 2021 by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Cheryl was also a key contributor to the design and funding of the $12.5 million Harriett’s Orlando Ballet Centre and secured an additional $1 million to enhance lighting, projection, and other production enhancements to the Ledden Great Hall.
Appointed Executive Director in April 2020, Cheryl works collaboratively with Artistic Director, Jorden Morris, the Orlando Ballet Board of Directors, and staff to advance the significant momentum built over the last five years, including during the height of the COVID-19 global health crisis
An Orlando native, Cheryl spent 15 years with Orlando Health Foundation prior to joining Orlando Ballet and is a graduate of the UCF College of Communications. She has held the Certified Fundraising Executive Credential since 2013 and brings significant additional experience and a track record of success in the areas of talent development, marketing & communications, project management, concept development, and event design.
