Orlando Ballet Auditions
The Orlando Ballet Difference.
Training with Orlando Ballet is a wonderful opportunity for dancers of all ages who are ready to grow in their technique and love of ballet. Our programs support dancers at every level, from beginners to advanced students preparing for professional training. Admission is by audition for ages 7+, and placement is based on age, experience, and readiness. We look for focused, enthusiastic dancers who are eager to learn and committed to working hard in a positive, creative environment.

School Year Placements and Trial Classes
Dancers ages 3-6 are offered trial classes to introduce them to our curriculum. Dancers ages 7-18 are placed into Preparatory Training Center levels through an audition or placement class, designed to assess experience and readiness.

Each level nurtures strong technique and musicality in a supportive environment.
Trial Classes
Trial Classes are available for students ages 3-6 to attempt a class prior to enrolling or participation in classes for the full year. This is a great opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the facility, some of our faculty members and introduce them to our curriculum. Please note that family members are not able to observe trial classes and only one family member may wait in the lobby during the class time.
Preparatory Training Center Placements
Dancers ages 7+ are placed into Preparatory Training Center levels through an audition or placement class, designed to assess experience and readiness. Students will take a class with other participants, there is no preparation necessary.

The Summer Intensive Program is designed for dedicated dancers looking to refine their technique, grow artistically, and take the next step toward a professional career.
All non-OBS students are required to audition for acceptance to the Summer Program by either an in-person audition on select dates or by video submission.

Evening Academy program will allow dedicated dancers to receive advanced training while maintaining traditional daytime academic schedules. Students who are accepted to the Academy A or Academy B programs may elect to participate in the Evening Academy program as well.
Audition
In- Person Audition Dates:
- August 11, 2026 at 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Video auditions
Open for submissions beginning in January for the upcoming school year. You can submit online HERE.
Submissions should include barre and center work, with pointe exercises. Dancers should wear appropriate ballet attire and ensure videos are clear, well-lit, and demonstrate clean technique and musicality.

Academy Prep Placements
The Academy Preparatory program for Levels 2A/2B and 3A/3B provides accelerated training for students who audition and are accepted. This program is an add-on to the student’s leveled classes.

The Academy Preparatory program for Levels 2A/2B and 3A/3B provides accelerated training for students who audition and are accepted. This program is an add-on to the student’s leveled classes.
Classes within this program may require an early release from the student’s school. Trainee II is a tuition-based, full-day pre-professional program for highly advanced dancers, offering 30 hours of weekly training and expanded performance opportunities through Orlando Ballet School. The Trainee Program is a highly competitive, merit scholarship-covered program for dancers on the cusp of a professional career, with extensive performance opportunities through Orlando Ballet School and select Orlando Ballet productions.

Trainee II is a tuition-based, full-day pre-professional program for highly advanced dancers, offering 30 hours of weekly training and expanded performance opportunities through Orlando Ballet School. The Trainee Program is a highly competitive, merit scholarship-covered program for dancers on the cusp of a professional career, with extensive performance opportunities through Orlando Ballet School and select Orlando Ballet productions.
The Trainee II and Trainee programs are the highest level of Orlando Ballet School and admission is by audition only. Dancers train and have the opportunity to perform alongside the professional company, bridging the gap between the Academy Program and a professional career in ballet.
