Orlando Ballet Auditions
The Orlando Ballet Difference.
Training with Orlando Ballet is a wonderful opportunity for dancers of all ages who are ready to grow in their technique and love of ballet. Our programs support dancers at every level, from beginners to advanced students preparing for professional training. Admission is by audition for ages 7+, and placement is based on age, experience, and readiness. We look for focused, enthusiastic dancers who are eager to learn and committed to working hard in a positive, creative environment.

Preparatory Training Center – Ages 7+
Dancers ages 7-18 are placed into Preparatory Training Center levels through an audition or placement class, designed to assess experience and readiness.

Dancers ages 7-18 are placed into Preparatory Training Center levels through an audition or placement class, designed to assess experience and readiness.
Each level nurtures strong technique and musicality in a supportive environment. Placement classes for the 2025–2026 year begin in August.
Preparatory Training Center Placements
Dancers ages 7+ are placed into Preparatory Training Center levels through an audition or placement class, designed to assess experience and readiness. Students will take a class with other participants, there is no preparation necessary.
In person auditions begin in May prior to the upcoming school year. The calendar of available placement classes can be found HERE

All non-OBS students are required to audition for acceptance to the Summer Program by either an in person audition on select dates or by video submission.
Audition
Audition registration opens on November 1st, all in person audition tour dates will be available on our Summer Intensive page HERE.

Video auditions
Open for submissions beginning in January for the upcoming school year. You can submit online HERE.
Submissions should include barre and center work, with pointe exercises. Dancers should wear appropriate ballet attire and ensure videos are clear, well-lit, and demonstrate clean technique and musicality.
Trainee and Second Company (OBII) – Ages 16 to 21
OBII is the highest level of Orlando Ballet School and admission is by audition only. Dancers train and perform alongside the professional company, bridging the gap between the Trainee Program and a professional career in ballet.

Audition
Dancers ages 16–21 may audition via the Summer Intensive Audition Tour, Video audition submission to the Summer Intensive, or during the Company audition tour (age permitting).
