Whether your dancer is preparing for summer intensives, college dance programs, professional companies, or commercial dance opportunities, this workshop provides valuable insight into what adjudicators are looking for and how to stand out.

The Audition Workshop is designed to help dancers gain the knowledge, confidence, and experience they need to excel in auditions. Whether your dancer is preparing for summer intensives, college dance programs, professional companies, or commercial dance opportunities, this workshop provides valuable insight into what adjudicators are looking for and how to stand out.
The workshop includes:
- An educational audition seminar covering how to prepare for different types of auditions, what to expect, presentation tips, audition etiquette, and strategies for success.
- Printed and digital lecture notes so students can reference the material long after the workshop.
- A mock audition experience led by experienced adjudicators who will provide individualized feedback and constructive comments to help dancers improve.
- Professional audition photos, including a headshot and an arabesque photo, perfect for audition packets and applications.

Sleeping Beauty Variation Workshop
The 2026 Classical Variation Workshop will focus on one of the most iconic ballets of all time, The Sleeping Beauty. During this special workshop, students will not only learn choreography from Sleeping Beauty but will also explore the nuances of the role, deepen their understanding of technique, and refine their presentation and artistry. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to engage more deeply with classical repertoire and grow as performers.

Students who participate in this workshop will receive a discount code for the Orlando Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty, October 15 – 18 2026 at Steinmetz Hall.

Orlando Ballet School students registered for levels 1 and above during the 2026-2027 school year, or non-OBS students aged 9 and above, are eligible to enroll.
Non-OBS students must be aged 12+ with one year of pointe experience to participate in pointe work and are subject to instructor approval. All non-OBS students are subject to placement in the appropriate class level per the instructor’s discretion based on the American Ballet Theatre curriculum.
