KATE GARDINIER
Kate Gardinier (Pittsburgh, PA) began dancing at age three in her hometown of Pittsburgh. She participated in summer intensive programs at Boston Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Canada’s National Ballet School, the School of American Ballet and Chautauqua. Kate placed in the Top 12 at YAGP competitions in both Classical and Contemporary categories, earning invitations to finals. In 2013, she performed the role of Clara in the annual Nutcracker production in Radio City Music Hall’s Annual Christmas Spectacular. At age 16 she was invited to train at the Washington School of Ballet as part of their Professional Training Program. As trainee, she had the opportunity to perform in The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker under the direction of Julie Kent. She joined Orlando Ballet II in the 2021-2022 season and performed in The Nutcracker, Jungle Book, “Lambarena” and Artistic Director Jorden Morris’ The Great Gatsby. She was promoted to the main company in April 2022.
