Audition Information
Orlando Ballet supports the International Audition Pre-Selection Guidelines and welcomes dancers interested in auditioning for the Company. Interested dancers should submit all required materials before taking any further steps. Submitted materials will be reviewed, and selected applicants will then be invited to attend an in-person audition.
Required Submission Materials:
One unedited video with no introduction or effects, performed in appropriate attire:
- Women: Leotard and tights, pointe shoes as specified
- Men: Tight-fitting dance attire, soft shoes
Video must include:
- Two classical variations from the standard repertoire
- Performed in pointe shoes by female applicants
- One contemporary variation
- May include repertory excerpts, class phrases, or original choreography
- Should demonstrate versatility beyond classical technique
- Barre work (3–4 minutes)
- Include both sides
- Performed in soft shoes by male applicants and pointe shoes by female applicants
- Center work (4–5 minutes)
- Must include adagio, pirouettes, petit and grand allegro
- Performed in pointe shoes by female applicants
Additional Required Materials:
- Current CV/resumé, including applicant’s height
- Headshot
- 2–3 full-body dance photos that clearly show body proportions and line
Required Photos for Registration Upload:
- 1st Arabesque
- Tendu à la seconde (en face)
Once materials are submitted, you may be invited to register for an in-person audition.
