First STEPS brings movement and creativity to pre-k and kindergarten classrooms through a 10-week arts-integrated residency. Orlando Ballet teaching artists collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance learning in literacy, language and math while building confidence and coordination. Each class receives a visit from Orlando Ballet dancers and a set of dance-themed picture books. This early introduction to the arts supports well-rounded development for more than 800 students annually.
