Clark starred in the film adaptation of Jorden Morris’ ballet tribute to the world’s most famous cabaret.

Christian Clark, co-founder of Atlanta’s Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, will perform as guest artist in Orlando Ballet’s premiere of Moulin Rouge® The Ballet created and choreographed by Jorden Morris. Christian will partner with local community favorite, Kate-Lynn Robichaux.  Clark starred in the 2013 film adaptation of Morris’ original ballet about Paris’ most iconic nightclub.

Since its original debut in 2009, Morris’ ballet has been performed around the world and acquired an international following. The ballet, which is not affiliated with the 2001 film or 2019 Broadway production, is known for its imaginative and vivid story of love and heartbreak told through the beauty of dance and a lush backdrop of oh-so-romantic French music. Morris’ ballet is the only licensed Moulin Rouge® ballet in existence.

“Christian’s experience in the role of Mathieu brings a wonderful perspective and ease as we watch his journey with Nathalie through love and sorrow, and in Paris’ most beloved cabaret,” said Morris, who is Orlando Ballet’s Choreographer in Residence. “I’m thrilled that he is eager to perform this role, and I know the audience will enjoy a remarkable experience. This is an ideal Valentine’s date night for sure.”

Clark, born and raised in Atlanta, began dancing as a child. His 15-year career in ballet has included performing as principal artist with Atlanta Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet and numerous other professional dance companies around the country. He has performed a range of leading roles in some of the world’s greatest ballets including Swan Lake, Giselle, Romeo et Juliette, and Dracula. Clark has danced works by world-renowned choreographers including Twyla Tharp, Ohad Naharin, Alexander Ekman, Liam Scarlett and Stanton Welch to name a few.

Clark has also shared his knowledge of dance with many schools across the country and he has served as guest instructor at the Greater Atlanta Christian School, Agnes Scott College, and Kennesaw State University, as well as a co-director of Atlanta Ballet’s professional summer intensive.
