HAZUKI KISHIDA

Hazuki Kishida (Victoria, B.C, Canada) Born and raised in Victoria, B.C, Canada, Hazuki Kishida began her dance training at the age of six at the Victoria Academy of Ballet. After completing school a year early, she joined the Academy’s Post-Secondary Bridge Program under the direction of Bleiddyn Bellis and Kerry Lynn Turner, where she graduated in 2022 with a Diploma in Professional Dance. Upon graduation, she joined Orlando Ballet as a second company member and performed in main company productions of The Nutcracker, Jorden Morris’ Moulin Rouge® The Ballet and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s A Streetcar Named Desire. She also danced principal, soloist, and featured roles in the Director’s Choice mixed repertoire program. She is a three-time British Columbia Provincial Arts Council Scholarship recipient and has received numerous awards at festivals and competitions, including representing her city and winning 1st place overall at the B.C Provincial Performing Arts Festival. She has also placed multiple times at YAGP competitions in both classical and contemporary categories where she was awarded a full scholarship in 2019 to attend the Colorado Ballet Academy Summer Intensive under Erica Fischbach.
This is Hazuki’s first season as an Apprentice.
