ARIA SMITH
Aria Smith was born in Southern California where she began her ballet training with the Maple Conservatory of Dance, under the direction of Charles Maple. At the age of ten, she moved to Utah to train with the Ballet West Academy, later joining their professional training program. There she performed lead roles in Ballet West Academy’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Divertimento No. 15, Western Symphony, Don Quixote, The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Walpurgisnacht along with roles in Ballet West’s The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Cinderella, Snow White, Beauty and the Beast, and The Sleeping Beauty.
Aria placed top 12 at YAGP regionals and attended YAGP finals multiple times. She has attended summer intensives at San Francisco Ballet, The Washington Ballet, Ballet West, Pacific Northwest Ballet, the School of American Ballet, and Orlando Ballet. When not in the studio Aria enjoys skiing, surfing, and crocheting.
This is Aria’s first season as a Company Dancer.
