Orlando Ballet has presented an educational story ballet to every Orange County Public School (OCPS) second grade student for more than 20 years through its Intro to Ballet Program.
Second graders are bussed to the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center to experience a live performance of the Nutcracker by the Orlando Ballet.
Through this experiential initiative, our program reaches up to 16,000 students annually.
Orlando Ballet provides educators with the Nutcracker Study Guide to be used in class three weeks prior to the performance. The study guide includes materials designed to engage the students with music, movement, production design as well as provide the history of The Nutcracker.

Artistic Director Jorden Morris has crafted his first full season to celebrate the power of dance. He brings his unique sense of drama to the process of selecting each production for audiences to experience the full scope of today’s live ballet with masterful choreography, lush musical scores, stunning sets and costumes, and talented dancers.
