2nd Year with Orlando Ballet II


She was born in Lima, Peru and started her ballet training at the age of 5 at the “Ballet Municipal de Lima”, where she began performing in their company productions such as “Le Corsaire”, “The Nutcracker”, and “Sleeping Beauty”. At the age of 16, she started dancing with the National Ballet of Peru as an apprentice and danced as corps de ballet in their productions of “Carmen” and “Paquita”, under thedirection of Jimmy Gamonet.

In 2011 and 2012 Vania was invited to attend The Rock School Summer Program and in 2015 attended the Orlando Ballet Summer Program for the first time. In 2016, she moved with her parents to Orlando and became a trainee with Orlando Ballet School. She competed in the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Tampa where I placed top 12 in the classical category and the YAGP Semi-Finals in Boston where she placed 3rd in the classical category and top 12 in the contemporary category. She was also invited to the YAGP NY Finals and received a full scholarship to become a trainee with The Washington Ballet School. At the same time she had been offered being part of Orlando Ballet Second Company and accepted the position as OBII.
