1st year with Orlando Ballet II
Ashley is originally from Florence, South Carolina, where she began dancing at the age of three. Later, she joined the South Carolina Dance Theatre to study under the direction of Susan Rowe, who gave her the opportunity to perform in many leading roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Dew Drop Fairy. At the age of 16, Ashley moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to continue her training on full scholarship in Boston Ballet School’s Pre-Professional Program, where she stayed for two years and had the opportunity to perform in Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker. Ashley has attended summer programs at the School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet, Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center, Chautauqua Institution School of Dance, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, Boston Ballet, and Orlando Ballet.
In 2016, Ashley was invited to become a trainee with Orlando Ballet School on merit scholarship, where she spent one year as a trainee before being promoted to Orlando Ballet II in 2017. She is excited to be performing with Orlando Ballet II alongside the main company this season.
