Orlando Ballet School offers classes for teens/adults interested in innovative ways to stay fit and have fun! Class styles include Ballet, BeMoved, Latin Cardio, Ballet Fitness and many more!

1 Hour Class:
• $15 per class
• $130/10-class card (Expires 120 days after purchase)

1.5 Hour Class:
• $18 per class
• $150/10-class card (Expires 120 days after purchase)

Ballet

Teen/Adult Ballet is designed for students who wish to begin or continue their ballet knowledge. Classes will consist of barre and center exercises that focus on proper alignment as well as steps which foster core, leg strength and flexibility.

Workout or comfortable clothes are best. Barefeet, socks with grippy bottoms, ballet or jazz shoes, and clean indoor sneakers are all acceptable footwear.

Latin Cardio with Cuic Suarez

Let the rhythm of Latin music shake your hips and burn unwanted calories with the most fun and innovative dance program. With this class you will experience a cultural explosion of fitness and expression while the music takes control of your body. You will learn the basics of the sexy Latin dances that will have you dancing all day long!

Ballet Fitness with Cuic Suarez

Consists of 60 minutes of core strengthening, floor stretches, floor barre, standing center barre, isolations, progressions, and placement. This class is focused in the technique “Urban Dance” and new adult students will soon discover the benefits of this class.

Modern Fusion with Amyia Burrell

A fusion of Modern Techniques (including styles of Horton and Graham) with Contemporary Dance. This class focuses on stretching and strengthening the body while using expressive movements to push the muscles and mind to move at full capacity.

Tap and Musical Theater Jazz

Tap – Students will explore the techniques of both major variations of tap dance, Rhythm Tap and Broadway Tap. Broadway Tap focuses on full body dance. Rhythm tap focuses on musicality and creation of intricate rhythms similar to that of a percussionist (drums). Your student will also learn the choreographic styles of the stage and film covering Broadway and Rhythm Tap over the past Millennia.

 

Musical Theatre Jazz –  Musical Theatre Class will explore many different styles of dance seen in a variety of Broadway shows! Beginner through advanced dancers will benefit from this class. Get a great workout while improving your technique and bringing out your personality. Join the fun!

Hip Hop with Percy Nelson

Hip-Hop encompasses many different urban dance styles such as popping, locking and breaking, as well as freestyle movement to give students the opportunity to develop their own sense of style. This Hip Hop class will teach rhythm, coordination, musicality and choreography. Students will be challenged to think on their feet — enjoying a high energy, fast-paced dance class while having fun. This is excellent for people who want to take a fast and fun dance class.

Afro-Latin Dance with David Gabriel

*NEW*

 

Afro-Latin dance blends movements from traditional Afro-Caribbean dance forms with other styles such as Lyrical, Modern and Contemporary. The fluidity and expressiveness of classical dance is fused with the grounded, percussive movements found in folkloric dance, in order to create dynamic movement sequences.

Barre Fitness with Tasha Golis

Barre Fitness is a fast paced dynamic whole body workout. This class incorporates elements of classical ballet training combined with postures from yoga and Pilates. Barre Fitness focuses on small range of motion movements done in high reps. Barre sessions can result in improved muscle definition, increased flexibility, and reduced stress. All fitness levels are encouraged to attend. Many current clients are former dancers, but most are individuals seeking a fun environment and a well rounded fitness program. Each workout includes a warm up, an ab series, planks, push ups at the barre, free weights, exercises at the barre using your own body weight, bridge work on the mat, and stretching. Each workout is different and targeted for the clients in the studio!

Yoga with Dimitri Delazanos

Dimitri’s style of yoga is elemental, and grounded by accessibility and inclusion. The main area of focus for his class is the upper body: shoulders, chest and neck. Dimitri has studied with MyLinda Morales, David Regelin, Dice Iida-Klein, Joe Barnett, Alexis Martin, Missy White and Briohny Kate Smyth.
