Joined Orlando Ballet in 2016
Elias Baseman began his training at New Jersey School of Ballet at the age of five. At age 11, he attended the school of American Ballet for one year, followed by two years at the JKO School of ABT and four summers at the ABT Summer Intensive, all on scholarships. He was a demonstrator of the original ABT curriculum. He then attended Miami City Ballet School for four years and returned to JKO for two more years, all on full scholarships. He performed Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie and Judor’s Soiree Musicale at the 2014 Prix Rome Jia Ruskaja at the Bolshoi Academy. In 2015, he graduated from the JKO School and joined the ABT studio company.
Repertoire includes Siegfried in Ballanchine’s Swan Lake and The Principal in Balanchine’s Theme and Variations. He has danced in Makarova’s La Bayadere, Ratmansky’s The Nutcracker and Bolero, and orginated roles in Ramansky’s The Sleeping Beauty and Zhonguing Fang’s The Idea of Becoming.
Elias joined Orlando Ballet in September 2016.
