Full-Time School Faculty Position
The Orlando Ballet, a not-for-profit organization, seeks to hire a full-time master teacher for its professional training program. Under the School Director’s supervision, the teacher will train students in classical ballet technique, pointe, male technique, pas de deux, variations, and ballet repertory. Appropriate candidate will have additional experience teaching and/or coaching contemporary repertory as well as character dance. Candidates must have a strong classical foundation and be able to teach students of all ages with an emphasis on intermediate through adult/professional students.
The successful candidate must have the proven ability to work well with a team of dedicated, hardworking, caring teachers and administrators and participate collaboratively in the challenging but supportive environment of Orlando Ballet. Potential growth into a rehearsal assistant/ballet master position for the individual with the necessary skills and background is possible. Certification in The American Ballet Theatre Curriculum is preferred as is previous experience working within a professional ballet company environment.
