Joined the Orlando Ballet in 2018


Israel Zavaleta was born in Mexico and began his ballet training at the age of 12 in Mexico City, at the Academia de la Danza Mexicana. In 2014 he won second place in the International Dance Competition Attitude, In the same year he attended with Joffrey Ballet Summer Intensive NY. In 2015 he won second place in the National Children and Youth Ballet Contest in Mexico, the same year he atended the Idyllwilds  Academy Summer Intensive and went to the YAGP semifinals in Mexico and won a pass to the final in New York. In 2016 he was a finalist for the Youth America Grand Prix in the same year he was accepted into the National Ballet Academy Denver and won a scholarship for the summer course at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and was accepted as a trainne at the Orlando Ballet School. In 2017 he won the Top 12 in the YAGP semifinals in Tampa, he made the summer course at the Orlando Ballet School and in the same year he was inducted into the Orlando Ballet Second Company.
