Orlando Ballet School students continue to represent well at the national YAGP competition in NYC April 2013.:Gold Medal (First Place) Ensemble: Bach Trio- Jessica Assef, Mario Chimal, Blake Kessler Choreographed by Arcadian BroadBronze Medal (Third Place) Pre-Competitive Division: Bella Kirby(age 11)Top six Junior Men: Austen Acevedo
Of the 25 medals awarded 7 were Americans. 2 were from Orlando Ballet. Orlando Ballet was the only American school to receive 2 medals.
The Youth America Grand Prix, founded in 1999, is the world’s largest ballet competition that awards full scholarships and job contracts to young dancers. The competition took place on April 12-14th in New York.
