2012-13 Season Announced

Wrapping up its highly successful 38th year, Orlando Ballet has announced its exciting 2012-2013 Main-stage and Family Series seasons, headlined by the eagerly anticipated Vampire’s Ball in October, the world premiere ballet inspired by the everyones most beloved movies, Hollywood en Pointe and Carmina Burana, which will be accompanied by live music and the 150 member chorus of the Bach Festival Society.

It is with great excitement that we have crafted Orlando Ballet’s 39th season,” said Robert Hill, artistic director. “This season will see a fun and intriguing mix of original and contemporary pieces with the most loved classical works of all time that will keep everyone in Central Florida talking all year.”

The rest of the season is highlighted by several other important ballets, with the return of everyones favorite holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, and the Orlando Ballet Family Series performances of Hansel & Gretel, The Little Mermaid and a one hour version of The Nutcracker that is perfect for younger audience members.
